Kevin

Kevin Wang is a student at the University of Chicago. Kevin has been heavily involved in Speech and Debate since middle school and has competed in various events, winning national recognition in competitive speech and debate. 

He has received awards at prestigious tournaments like Yale Invitational, Stanford Invitational, and State tournament. He has received Superior and Outstanding Distinction from the National Speech and Debate Association.

Kevin first founded New Age Learning in 2018 to teach public speaking to students around the Bay Area. In just a few years, his students have received regional, state-wide and national awards as well.

Evan

Evan Wang is a Junior at The Nueva School and has been involved in speech and debate for over 4 years, competing in Impromptu Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Original Oratory. He has received national recognition at numerous tournaments as well as championing multiple events at tournaments when competing against High Schoolers.

Evan is the current President of NewAgeLearning and hopes that by teaching others how to communicate and advocate for themselves, he can empower his students to express their thoughts and reach higher levels.

Aleena


Aleena Xiao is a Senior at Henry M. Gunn High School. Aleena has been involved in Speech and Debate for over 4 years in the events of Impromptu Speaking, Original Oratory, and Extemporaneous Speaking. She has received awards in several tournaments including the Stanford Invitational, the California Middle School State Championship, the NOFC National Middle School Tournament, and the SVUDL Invitational. She has also championed in both Original Oratory and Impromptu at the Stratford Fall Novice Invitational.

Aleena is the co-president of NewAgeLearning and is passionate about teaching students and hopes to make a difference by building confident speakers.

Ethan

Ethan Shen is a Senior at Cupertino High School and has been involved in speech and debate for over 3 years, competing in Impromptu Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Public Forum Debate. He hopes to help others build confidence and gain a new understanding of the world through speaking. Ethan believes that by helping others learn and improve speaking skills, they will be able to clearly and persuasively communicate ideas that will change the world.

Wayne

Wayne Lu is a Junior at Archbishop Mitty High School and has been doing Speech and Debate for over 4 years, competing in Impromptu, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Congressional Debate. He has received National-level recognition and championed at many tournaments. Wayne believes that the ability to speak and inspire is integral to a new generation of world-changing leaders.

Gabriel

Gabriel is rising a Sophmore at Stanford. He has been the main driving force for Extemp classes at New Age Learning. Gabriel has competed in Extemporaneous Speaking for more than 6 years now and is renowned on the state and national circuit. He is a National Champion in Extemporaneous Speaking at NIETOC, a National Finalist in International Extemporaneous Speaking at the National Speech and Debate Tournament. Other accomplishments include his Runner Up Placement at the University of Emory Tournament, Finals at the University of Florida and the University of Texas, and 3rd in the Texas State. Gabriel has taught at New Age Learning for more than 2 years now and is excited to motivate more children to learn about speech, debate, public policy, and international relations.

Avi

Avi Sundaresan is a Student at the Caltech. Avi is a firm advocate of educational accessibility and loves to teach. Since discovering Speech and Debate in middle school, Avi has been extremely passionate in trying to enable other students to also compete. Avi believes that self advocacy is key in all disciplines, including science, humanities, and entrepreneurship. He has competed on the national circuit in Public Forum and Impromptu Speaking.

Clay

Clay Adams is a student at Harvey Mudd College and has been involved in Speech and Debate, competing in Public Forum and Impromptu Speaking, and has won numerous awards. Clay cares deeply about education and believes tht public speaking is a crucial aspect of it. In his spare time, Clay enjoys cooking.
