10th Annual California Middle School State Forensics Tournament

From May 16 - 17, our Intermediate class students attended the 10th Annual California Middle School State Forensics Tournament, held online. It was the first major tournament for many of our students. 134 students from across California competed in the Open Impromptu Speech division.

After several rounds, three of our students, Evan Wang (Grade 6), Francis Ruan (Grade 7), and Aleena Xiao (Grade 7), made it to the State Quarterfinals (Top 32 in CA)! In addition, Evan Wang advanced and made it to the State Semifinals (Top 16 in CA)!

Although these students were faced with COVID-19 and limitations in preparation, they still strove to perform well. We are so proud of all of our students for preparing so diligently for the tournament and persevering in the face of the pandemic.
