35th Annual Stanford Invitational

From February 7-8 our Advanced class attended the 35th Annual Stanford Invitational. This was an international tournament for students from 6th-12th and is widely considered one of the most competitive tournaments in the nation.

In Impromptu Speaking, of our 5 competitors, 4 made it to the quarterfinal round out of nearly 100 students and 2 advanced all the way through to the final round. Congratulations Wayne L. (7th) and Evan W. (7th) our quarterfinalists, and to Aleena X. (8th) and Samuel M. (6th) for placing 4th and 3rd respectively. This is a huge accomplishment.

In Original Oratory, we had 3 quarterfinalists, 2 of whom made it to the semifinal round and one of whom made it to the final round. Congratulations to Wayne L. our quarterfinalist, Aleena, our semifinalist, and Evan, who placed 4th at the tournament.
